Tonto National Monument is a very small NPS site on our way, it has a little museum and a cliff dwelling. When we visited the trail to lower cliff dwelling was already closed for the day. Check the trail open hours before your visit. The upper trail was limited to ranger lead tour only. We had a short time to visit the museum, watch a short film and for kids to complete the junior ranger program.
