Although you could drive car into the downtown district, rarely a chance you can park your car. Park your car at the Visitor Center and take shuttle in. The whole area is easy to walk.
Shenandoah National Park is centered by one main ridge drive very similar to Bryce National Park. Sightseeing are mostly Shenandoah valley views.
