Island Trail is only accessible from the Visitor Center and closes one hour earlier than visitor center. The trail is a 185-foot climb (240 steps) back to canyon rim. Canyons are nice and it is amazing to see how Sinagua people live floor by floor along the cliff. Return to Arizona Trip Summary

Kolob Canyons locates northeast corner of Zion National Park, but has no direct road connection to main area within the park. To reach there, visitors circle outside the park in one hour driving which makes Kolob Canyons less known.
