Rothenburg ob der Tauber is not to be confused with another Rothenburg in Saxony, Germany.
It’s a walled city and parking inside the wall is difficult. Our hotel was right outside the wall and had free parking. We were able to easily walk into town from the hotel. We stayed at Gasthof Hotel Bezold.
Try a Schneeball was listed as a must do in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. There were many Schneeball shops and we bought a few to try. We liked the Lemon ones the best as the lemon balances out the sweet. If you like sweets give it a try.

Night Watchman tour
The daily Night Watchman tour starts at 8pm from the marketplatz, the fee was 9 Euro for adults/half price for over 12/ under 12 is free in 2022. No prebooking required just show up and pay the Night Watchman.
Toppler castle
This is out of the walled city, saw pictures of this and thought was interesting. We drove by this on our way out of town but there was no place to park so just took a couple quick pictures
