Places We Go
Vatican
If you like to receive Pope’s blessing, you can attend Pope’s General Audience on Wednesday or attend Sunday mass. Every part of Vatican has great history to explore. Unfortunately Vatican Garden no longer opens to the public. Vatican Museum entrance is at Viale Vaticano. To end Vatican Museum tour earlier, you can take short cut into Piazza San Pietro from Sistine Chapel without walking all the way to the end. Pay attention to a door for tour guide.
Castel Sant’Angelo
Use Roma Pass to skip the line. There is elevator but not all the way to the top. It about 5-story high to the top
Roman Colosseum
Use Roma Pass for Colosseum to skip the line.
Spanish Steps
Area between Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo is a busy shopping district and full of people at night.
Trevi Fountain
Roman Forum
Roman Forum is a massive and sprawling Roman ruins between Palatine, Capitoline and Esquiline Hills. For a quick tour, you can walk from Colosseum to Piazza Venezia and turn back along Via del Fori Imperiali to tourist information center for north side ruins. Then save south Palatine Hill for another day if that interests you. At night ruins along Via del Fori Imperiali turns into cinema. Short films about Roman empire are projected onto ruin walls. Quite a nice experience.
Piazza Navona
Pantheon
Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore
The Basilica is very closed to Roma Termini. A nice-to-have POI if you are around.

This POI is included in Omnia Card.
Roman Bath of Caracalla (Terme di Caracalla)
The walk from Pyramid Station to Caracalla is about 20 minutes. Caracalla is a multi-story high complex made by brick and mortar and bath floor is full of mosaic. Even though this ruin isn’t in a good condition today, you can still picture the old-time glory of Roman Empire.
