Commute

For cruise transfer in the port, one of two cruise shuttle pickup locations is inside port entrance near Michelangelo Fortress. It is a 10-minute walk from train station. After getting into port entrance, a port authority staff will show you where your cruise shuttle pickup place is. The other cruise shuttle pickup place is at Civitavecchia shuttle-bus terminal (Largo della Pace) . To get there from the station, you can take a town shuttle or taxi for connection. To transport out cruise port, however, port authority shuttle only drops you at shuttle-bus terminal which is a 15-minute walk to train station. Depending on your cruise pier, you are better off to walk straight to train station from the pier if closer.
  • Rome-Civitavecchia regional train is $4.6 and takes about one hour.
  • Fiumicino Airport-Civitavecchia regional train by Trastevere transfer is $11.5 and takes about 2 hour. Coach service by port authority staff is about $30. Private transfer is about $20 but may run only after 9:00.
