We arrived on cruise ship, this was a tender port, the tender drops off at Newport Hi-Speed Ferry (Perrotti Park). From there it’s about 5 minutes walk to Rhode Island Public Transit where trolly are available. During our visit summer of 22, the 67 hop on hop off trolly was free.
Our cruise arrived at 6am and departs at 4pm (with last tender boat at 3:30pm), since we did not plan a lot for this port, we took our time in the morning and got off around 9am and were back on the cruise around 2:30-3pm.
We walked from the tender port to the start of Cliff walk (by Easton beach) about 1 mile and walked the Cliff walk to the Waves then took the 67 trolly back to port.
