Little River Canyon National Preserve is in Alabama. The scenic drive, waterfalls, trails is free, only the Canyon Mouth Picnic Area has a day use fee of $15 (in 2020)
Little River Falls
Due to the pandemic the visitor center was not open. We ran into a ranger at Little River Falls, he was about to start a history talk and called in to park headquarter and asked another ranger to bring out the junior ranger badge and patch for us. And of course the history talk was very educational.
Little River Canyon Rim Pkwy Scenic Drive
The Little River Canyon Rim Parkway drive is beautiful with many pull out overlooks of the little river canyon. It was first week of November and some foliage color adding to the beauty.
Cotton Field
Drove by a massive cotton field and had to stop and take pictures. Yes we’ve never seen a cotton field before, this was beautiful.
