Lisbon

Lisbon is easy to travel around with public transportation. We purchased the Lisbon card (for adults) which include transportation and major attractions (including Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Santa Justa Elevator, and all tram/funiculars). For kids since a lot of attraction are free or have child discount we opted to purchase just the transit card for kids.

Praça do Rossio

Our hotel was right by Praca do Rossio.

Belem Tower

Padrão dos Descobrimentos

Monument to the discoveries

Jeronimos Monastery

Pasteis de Belem

The famous Pasteis de Belem, can’t visit Lisbon without trying this.

TimeOut Lisbon

A quick stop at TimeOut Lisbon for lunch. Many food/drink options.

Elevador da Bica

Unfortunately this was closed when we visited. We were able to see the front door and the tracks on the back only.

Lisbon Story Center

This was included in the Lisbon card so we made a quick stop to learn about Lisbon’s history. The highlight was experience the 1755 earthquake and aftermath.

Parca do Comercio

Elevator de Santa Justa

Taking the Elevator de Santa Justa up to the observation deck for an amazing view.

Tram

We traveled around Lisbon on many tram lines. But of course can’t leave out the most famous Tram28.

Glória Funicular

Castle St. Jorge

The view from Castle St. Jorge of Libson is amazing
