There is a day hiker charge

Taking the kids to this trail for the first time, it’s amazing how long it has been since we last visited. The day hiker charge is now 35 per person (age 13+) and is checked at the day hiker parking lot at Mohonk Gatehouse (2.2 miles from Mohonk Mountain House). If you are willing to hike a little bit longer parking at Mohonk Preserve Spring Farm Trailhead parking is $15 per person (age 16+). The hike to Mohonk Mountain House is a little over 5 miles round trip and it’s mostly flat.
We took the Labyrinth trail up to sky top, total from parking lot to the top and back to the parking lot was 7.7 miles.
