We arrived on a cruise, the cruise arrived at 10am and we had until 8pm (must be back on cruise by 7:30pm). We rented a car for the day and drove to Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg.
Peggy’s Cove
Peggy’s cove is about a 45 mins drive from Halifax. It is said to be the most famous, most photographed lighthouse in Canada. It is so relaxing to sit on the rocks by the lighthouse and just lookout to the sea. We actually spotted a whale (fin whale) while there.
Lunenburg
A UNESCO World Heritage site
Halifax Citadel National Historic Site
The historic site closes at 5pm. We drove by in the evening for a quick stop on the hill.
