Thousand Islands National Park is about 1.5 hour driving from Ottawa. The best way to explore this national park is by canoeing or kayaking. If you couldn’t do so like us, simply drive through Thousand Islands Parkway for island view on St Lawrence River. We visited in April and all boat services were out of service. Bad weather also took a toll in our itinerary.
