Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland district
kayaking at bay side is very safe and easy. Water is shallow at most marsh area that you can just stand up when you fall into water. Marsh area behind campgrounds are places guide tour goes to see wildlife. Marsh area at the end of Berry Landing are good places for clamping.
Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, Virginia district
- explore tidal pool at bay side during low tide
- Wildlife Loop opens to vehicles after 3:00PM
