Ketchikan, Alaska

Its Indian name, Kach Khanna, means “spread wings of the eagle.” Town isn’t big and pretty walkable. For easier walking, you can take free downtown shuttle from cruise berth to Totem Heritage Center.  Deer Mountain Tribal Hatchery is yards away from heritage center. Then walk down along the creek back to Creek Street. Randomly you will spot salmon jumping upstream along the creek. After walking back to town, tour around Creek Street which was an old-time red light district but now a tourist spot. For a fishing lovers, you can rent a fishing rod and enjoy fishing salmons. If fishing isn’t your thing, you can explore the towns before heading back to boat.
