Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve is a coastal route plied by cruise ships and other vessels. Stretching north of the town of Gustavus, the bay is flanked by high peaks, including Mount Fairweather, and glaciers like the huge Grand Pacific Glacier. The easiest way to get there is by cruise. Ferry can also take to Custavus and you

We visited by a cruise and the itinerary inside the park took about 8 hours. Park rangers hopped on the cruise from park entrance and offered programs the whole day. The major is glacier area narration from 8:00AM to noon. Although port side and starboard side both have equal opportunity in round-trip view, port side would pair ranger programs better. The Tranquil mountains and blue water were along the way to enjoy. After passing couple glaciers, boat reached the end of inlet where massive Margerie Glacier and Grand Pacific Glacier touch water. The glaciers are wowing. Their sizes are so humongous that will take your breath away. You can compare glacier scale from a little vessel in photos below.
